It's possible and best of all - IT'S FREE! Join us along the West Side walkway on Pier 26 - The Downtown Boathouse on Saturday and Sunday! We have some very stable club boats available for the beginner to take a short paddle.

Wear some comfortable clothing that may get a bit wet, sign the waiver and we'll help you aboard for your first paddle!

But remember - be forewarned! Even a short paddle, especially while viewing the NY's majestic skyscrapers will GET YOU HOOKED! You will soon be a paddling fool, spending great times in the company of fun kayakers, going on weekend kayaking/camping trips on remote islands on the Hudson, enjoying an aerobic exercise that invigorates the soul as well as the body.

The Downtown Boat House is located on NYC's Pier 26 - on the beautiful West Side Walkway along the Hudson! Come Visit us. One of our members will be glad to introduce you to the sport of sea kayaking. We have nothing to sell you! Just a bunch of Salty Dogs sharing their kayaking adventures with you!
